The main aim of this paper is to analyze and experimentally investigate the face milling parameters for purpose of maximizing material removal rate and minimizing surface roughness. Face milling parameters were analyzed to determine their significance on mild steel by design of experiments (DOE) with employing response surface method designs to have response (Material removal rate and surface roughness). The effects of following three parameters: spindle speed, depth of cut, feed will investigate upon following two performance measures: material removal rate and surface roughness on material of mild steel. The experimental results were analyzed using ANOVA and significance of effects of all the tested parameters upon performance measures was determined. Empirical models for tensile strength and distortion, in terms of significant parameters, were developed and numerical optimization was performed according to the desirability for the maximization of tensile strength and minimization of distortion.

Cloud Architectures are designs of software applications that use ‘Internet-Accessible on-Demand Services’. Applications built on Cloud Architectures are such that the underlying computing infrastructure is used as per need, to perform a specific task. Ones the task is completed, the un used or un needed recourses are either relinquished or often disposed. Based on the needs of the client, the applications scales either upwards or downwards while operating. This paper shows the architecture of cloud computing in practical approach, means what type of front end or back end it uses and also what type of infrastructure it requires for that, etc.

Year: 2014, Volume:1, Issue : 7
Pages: 217 - 223
A Mobile Ad-Hoc Network is a collection of mobile nodes that are dynamically and arbitrarily located in such a manner that the interconnections between nodes are capable of changing on continual basis. Due to security vulnerabilities of the routing protocols, wireless ad-hoc networks are unprotected to attacks of the malicious nodes. One of these attacks is the Black Hole Attack. A black hole attack is a severe attack that can be easily employed against routing in mobile ad hoc networks. A black hole is a malicious node that falsely replies for any route requests without having active route to specified destination and drops all the receiving packets. If these malicious nodes work together as a group then the damage will be very serious. This type of attack is called cooperative black hole attack. In this paper, we give an algorithmic approach to focus on analyzing and improving the security of AODV, which is one of the popular routing protocols for MANET. Our aim is on ensuring the security against Black hole attack. The proposed solution is capable of detecting & removing Black hole node(s) in the MANET at the beginning and a solution to discover a safe route avoiding cooperative black hole attack.

Year: 2014, Volume:1, Issue : 7
Pages: 224 - 226
The paper compares the polymer heat exchangers to the current technology in metallic heat exchangers. A review of state of the art of polymer heat exchangers is presented and technological problems are identified. In a current metallic heat exchangers copper tube is used for transferring the heat exchangers, copper tube is used for transferring the heat. Since the thermal conductivity of the copper tube is high so when the copper tube transfers the heat there are some heat losses. The thermal expansion coefficient of the copper tube is high so when the high temperature is achieved into the copper tube than the shape and size of the copper tube also changes. Copper is a reactive metal so when the chemical treatment process is done for removing the chocking defect, copper metal react with the chemical so strength of the copper tube will be decrease. In this simulation models were developed and used to explore the thermal-hydraulic, packaging and weight tradeoffs associated with polymer heat exchangers. Finally, the results are used to provide essential background for deciding if and where to allocate resources to more detailed analyses and prototype development.

Year: 2014, Volume:1, Issue : 7
Pages: 226 - 228
Very less work has been done on laser welding of dissimilar material. Laser welding of AISI 1552 was studied in butt welding in SS304L. In order to decrease formation of intermetallic components during laser welding, effect of laser power, pulse duration and overlapping factor was investigated. Tensile test was performed to identify the effect of each parameter on the weld. Results showed that increasing peak power (in constant pulse energy), pulse duration (in constant peak power) and welding speed (in constant pulse energy and peak power) will decrease tensile strength. On the other hand, decreasing the mentioned parameters will cause destructive effects such as inadequate penetration depth, spattering and cavity formation. Improvement in the tensile strength was attributed to low values of intermetallic components in weld metal.

Sequential Pattern Mining is to discover sequential patterns, with user-specified minimum support of pattern where support is number of sequences that contains pattern, from a database of sequences. Each sequence of database consists of list of transactions ordered by transaction time and each transaction is a set of items. Closed Sequential Pattern Mining has same capability as Sequential pattern mining, but in Closed Sequential Pattern Mining redundant patterns to be generated and stored are reduced which is much economical. This paper presents approaches and key-feature of algorithms ClaSP, CM-ClaSP, CloSpan, BIDE which are used for mining closed sequential patterns as well as approaches and key features of algorithms GSP, SPADE, PrefixSpan, SPAM, LAPIN which are used for mining sequential pattern. It shows that number of sequences generated in Closed Sequential Pattern Mining is much less than those generated by Sequential Pattern Mining which makes Closed Sequential Pattern Mining Economical. The algorithms are compared by attributes total time required to find frequent sequences, number of frequent sequences generated and maximum memory required.

Information Security has always been like cat & mouse . To be precise, attackers are always hunting for weaker targets & develop more advanced tools to exploit the networks as well as humans i.e. attacking e-mail accounts, Social Networking Sites etc. Many I.T. Industries have stood against these attackers & succeeded in blocking most of their attacks by introducing CAPTCHA. Still there is no foolproof solution for these attacks. Taking in consideration for security against Email Accounts, it is possible that attacks viz. Dictionary Attacks, Brute-Force Attacks and Shoulder Surfing lead to successful exploitation. So, we introduce new method CAPTCHA as Graphical Passwords (CaRP) that eliminates all possible attacks against the attacks mentioned above using various password schemes. Evolving from CAPTCHA technology, this method i.e. CaRP uses graphical implementations as a password for the user, thus making the user to click on certain click points in order to submit his/her password successfully.

Year: 2014, Volume:1, Issue : 7
Pages: 237 - 243
Inverter is basically an interface between DC source like photovoltaic cell and AC networks. There are many inverter topologies but output current distortion and efficiency are the two main parameters for the selection of inverters. Two such topologies are described herein. In this paper, the SPWM (Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation) technique of unipolar and bipolar inverters is presented and the models are simulated in MATLAB – Simulink. The H-Bridge inverter topologies (both unipolar and bipolar) are made up of power electronic switches and are fed with constant amplitude pulses with varying duty cycle for each period. The SPWM pulses are generated by comparison of two waves- a carrier wave, which is triangular in this case and a modulating reference wave whose frequency is the desired frequency, which is sinusoidal in this case. This pulse width modulation inverter is characterized by simple circuitry and rugged control scheme that is SPWM technique to obtain inverter output voltage control and to reduce its harmonic content.
